GET A MENTOR

The mature eagles (father and mother) some times will try to teach the eaglet a few trick of flying by pushing the eaglet from the nest for a few times. This is done to train the eaglet to be confident when flying.When the parent eagles leave the eaglet from the height trying to teach it how to fly and it could fly, they leave the eaglet for several days without food. In other words the eagle believe that hunger will push the eaglet how to feed it self.In life if you want to be successful and would get to your destination as God wanted you to, then you must have mentors who will teach you the hard way to success. Everything that is achieved cheaply is effect very cheap to possess.No great man ever uses a day to get to greatness but it takes hard work and perseverance.A mentor will guard you when ever you are falling and when you go wrong in life.There is a proverb in the Akan language that says ‘HE THAT LEADS DOES NOT KNOW HIS BACK IS CRUKED’It takes some one to tell you what you do wrong or good।

LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE

After all attempt of the parent eagles to teach the eaglet to fly fails, what the eagle does it that they take all the soft materials in the nest and replaced them with sharp stones, sharp objects, sharp thorns and things that will make the eaglet uncomfortable to be in the nest.Some times we turn to resort to our comfort while we want to get to the top.Because the top is not comfortable, God will allow challenges your way to push you into your greatness. Until you eave your comfort zone, you can never get to the top, until you leave the harbor, you can’t get to the deep sea and until you leave your past you can’t get to your tomorrow.Leave all your friends who make you feel comfortable in your situation. These are dream killers because they would never force you out of your comfort zone. When you befriend those who are not going anywhere, they would prevent you from going somewhere

2FACE REALITY Life is a struggle. It takes only those who keep going no matter the opposition to get there. You may desire for a particular position in life. I know most of us have great visions of touching and transforming the world with what GOD has placed in us. This wouldn’t come by just wishing but it will come if you can defile all the odds in life. If we are ever to get our goal, then keep climbing because the road to success in rough. Life is rouge with many stones.The longer you dwell on your misfortunes, the more strength and resources you would have to spend to get to your destination. Remember diamonds are often polished to reveal the true beauty. You will get to where you are created to be only friction of circumstances. You can’t give up on starting.Sir Winston Churchill during one of his visits to his former school, as he started his speech, the only word that came out his mouth was ‘you can make, don’t give up’ … I tell you too never give up starting small.Success is getting up one more time than you fell.On his way to discover Africa, as day after day appears again and again ,his sailors threatened mutiny and persuaded him to return but Christopher Columbus refuse to return and refused to listen to them but write day by day in the sailors book ‘sail on’. He made history by discovering Africa as a continentNever give up trying to start small because the greatest failure in life is to stop trying.Men do not fail in life but they just give up easily. Remember the tougher the job the greater the reward.3 .LEARN TO INTERPRATE THE DREAM OF OTHERSWhiles the eaglet is still in the nest, what it does is that it will be hopping from one end to the other. It will try jumping by flipping the wings once a while.The eaglet starts flying from the tenth to the fifteenth week from the day of hatching. The picture here is that even though the eaglet as tender as it is tries and practices what it would be doing in the tenth week.The graphic picture is that even though you may be aiming very high in life, start small. Start the interpretation of the dream of others. Use that platform to grow your skills, correct your mistakes, and gather experience for your future career and dream.Study materials that pertain to your dream, observe people who have made it in the field you are eyeing।

5X’tics of a seedA seed is always planted। You will first have to identify the kind of seed you will want to harvestA seed needs to be watered mulched and protected from things that destroy the seed.A seed will have to rout through the unbearable conditions of the earth. Before your greatness is made manifest you will need circumstances and bad situation to bring out the best in you.(I Peter 4:12-13) Dear brothers, do not be surprised, as if it was something strange, if your faith is tested as by fire:But be glad that you are given a part in the pains of Christ; so that at the revelation of his glory you may have great joy.(II Corinthians 4:8-10) Troubles are round us on every side, but we are not shut in; things are hard for us, but we see a way out of them;We are cruelly attacked, but not without hope; we are made low, but we are not without help;In our bodies there is ever the mark of the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be seen in our bodies.For, while living, we are still being given up to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may be seen in our flesh, though it is under the power of death.A seed will always start smallA seed may start as one but grow to produce many seeds and fruits

10 LESSEONS FROM THE EAGLE1. THE ABILITY TO GREAT (SEED ) Genesis 3:Because very human being has the breath and image of God in him/her it is possible for you to get to the top in life.The eagle is a very dynamic bird. Before the young eagle is hatched, it naturally has a small tooth on the beak that helps them to break out of their shells.If any body tries to help this eaglet out of the shells, the possibility of this eaglet surviving is very little because the process of breaking its shell creates tenacity in it. This tenacity enables the eaglets to fight for life in the future.Seed is the substance of a vegetable, an animal which nature prepares for the reproduction and conservation of the species. The seeds of plants are a deciduous part, containing the rudiments of a new vegetable. In some cases, the seeds constitute the fruit or valuable part of plants, as in the case of wheat and other esculent grain; sometimes the seeds are enclosed in fruit, as in apples and melons.God is expecting each and everybody to grow into a maturity. Go wouldn’t place you on top of the ladder but He expects Christians and non-Christians alike to climb to the top of the ladder.Jesus said so who ever shall believe will be given the power to become a son.There is a seed of greatness in you but it is your responsibility to discover this greatnessMost of the time we try to run away from problems and challenge that come our ways in life. If you want to get to the top you must be ready to go through every challenge that comes your way. Every moving thing will certainly encounter resistance. Every body who wants to make a difference in the world will encounter opposition because nobody will believe in your dream. Every opposition you face, God in His wisdom is turning your oppositions into opportunities. The mess and your mistakes would be turn into a message for the future. You don’t expect God to give you anything without the wisdom to handle. You may be learning a trade now and may think it is too much to go through what your master/madam is making you go through. When you are able to finish your course, what you went through during your stay as an apprentice will sustain you. Education may be tough, because you didn’t have the necessary foundation in life. It is very important to do every thing possible no matter the barriers to have your self educated. There are certain opportunities you can’t access because you couldn’t allow yourself to go through the stages of life. There is ability in every body just as the unborn eaglet.

BECOMING A WINNER PART II

1.DON’T BE COMPLACENT
Life in it sense is a competition and if you want to be a winner then you must be ready for competition.
An extract from the Apostle Paul show the following attitudes a winner must develop
Every winner knows that, some people before him/her has occupied where he/she is now. For what you have achieved is no news to the world because others have done greater than what you have now. If you have a home , a used car, some have new cars that are custom made. If you are a pastor, you must understand that the anointing you demonstrates has been demonstrated before so there is no need becoming complacent.

2. HAVE GOD AS YOUR MOTIVATION
David said the strong man of the philistines, I have not come in my name but I come in the name of the God of Israel whose army you have defiled. This God will give me victory. Indeed God gave him victory over the giant and all the people were running away from him including the king Saul(Army General)

In the building of the walls of Jerusalem, Nehemiah had his motivation set on God rather than fame and money. When you have God as the source of your motivation, you will withstand any challenge that comes your because you know that you would not be standing alone but have God on your side.
Every body who wanted to win the battles of life must look up to God who has the power to make and unmake who enthrone kings and dethrone kings.
All things would be possible for you in life; you will overcome barriers if you would have God as the source of your motivation

3. FOCUS ON THE CROWN
Paul said just one thing I do, forgetting about the past and striving towards the goal. Upon all the achievements of Paul he still focused on the crown which is Jesus himself. His eyes were fixed on the final prize undertaking so much that he decided to forget the past hurts, feelings, bad times, and the prisons but fixed his eyes rather on the king of all prizes. David asked, what would be done for the man who kills this bustard? And it was said that the king would divide his properties into two, give half to the hero, and give the daughter for marriage to the hero. David said to the king wow! I would do it to become the king’s son-in-law which will draw him even more closely to the palace.
Set your focus right.

4. FORGET THE PAST
Most people in the world are driven by the past experiences, circumstances and bad situations. Most winners comes face to face with promotions and opportunities that they could not access because they are so much intune with their past so much that they could not win.
When David came face to face with the giant, he could have allowed his horrible past to detare him from making an impact on both the Israelites and the philistines. Paul said even though my past is horrible I would not allow it to prevent me from reaching the crown.
The brother of David asks him, who he left the sheep for and what is he doing in the battle field? What it means is that what do you think you have to do here? Whiles those with proper training and those whose parents are properly married are fighting for their country, what would you is always with the sheep do with the giant?
Never allow anybody to use your past to prevent your future from manifesting. You can make it and you can become a winner if you can try.
Even though history plays a very important role in the structuring of the future, you need not dwell on the past to prevent you from the prize.
Some are driven by guilt.
Some people spend their entire life running away from regrets and hiding their shame. Guilt driven persons are manipulated by memories. You don’t have to allow your past to dictate the future for you.
Some people are also driven by resentment and anger
They hold on to the hurts of the past and never get over them. Resentment always hurts you more than it does to the person you resent.
Some are also driven by fear
Their fear many be a traumatic experience, unrealistic expectations, growing up in highly controlled homes or genetic predisposition. Regardless of the cause, fear driven people often miss great opportunities because they are afraid to venture out. People controlled by fear will always play it safe.
Know that fear is a self impose prison that will keep you from becoming what God intended you to become. You must move against it with the weapon of faith and love.

Some people are driven by materials
The desire of some people in life is to acquire materials. This drive to always want more is based on the misconception that having more will make me happier, more important, and more secured. All the three conceptions are untrue because your value is not determined by valuable things. Real security can be found only in what can not be taken away from you, that your God given purpose.

Some are driven by the need for approval
Most the people allow the expectation of those around them to affect them. Unfortunately, those who follow the crowd usually get lost. There is one major way to fail in life, which is trying to please everybody. Being controlled by the opinion of others is a guarantee to miss the purpose of God for your destiny.

BECOMING A WINNER PART I

It is very important to develop the winning attitude in life if you really want to become a winner in life. Sometimes people become complacent in life that they forget to pursue what ever agenda God has for their lives. The world is looking for winners to follow. Looser has no place in the economy of a nation. Loser would always become slaves to those who win life. Decision making is vested in only those who can do the following things I have outlines below;
1. A WINNER TACKLES NEW THINGS
The world is already made up of the inventions and the discoveries of others. If your name would be added to the hall of fame, it means you would have to tackle new things that have never been seen before. A winner will dare to go for a challenge and if he triumphs he is celebrated.
We would all remember the story of a Hebrew boy named David who was asked by his father to take food to the brothers on the battle field. This young man has never been enrolled in the army neither has he been in battle before. Infact he was under the age of going to battle but he became a hero in the history of Israel because he had the mind of tackling new things (A Winner)

From the story of this young man I learnt the following lessons;



a. HE TRAINED HIMSELF AS A WINNER
David was born as a looser. All the circumstances that surround the birth of David show that he should have been a looser in life. he was born out of wedlock which is against the norms and culture of Israel. He was asked to over see heads of sheep in the wilderness where he was prone to danger of the weather, wild animals, and hunger.

Despite all circumstances surrounding David, he still trained himself to think like a winner.

b. HE KNEW THERE WAS A CAUSE
When the brothers asked him why he came to the battle field, he said to them there is a cause. Winners always know there is a cause for their existence. He did not run away from the situation because of his age or lack of formal training but he faced the situation.


c. HE DID NOT GIVE UP BECAUSE OF THE GIANT

David went ahead to ask what would be done for the man who kills the giant who harassed the people of God. At that moment all the people were running away from the giant including the commander himself.

He saw the giant as an opportunity to greatness. Winners always see opportunities in situations that seem hopeless. If you want to be a winner, you would have to develop yourself to see opportunities in all situations.

d. HE DID NOT USE THE SKILLS OF OTHERS
In life you can not use what some one have to win your victories. You need your training to become what you want to be. When the king Saul asked him to use his armories, he wore them alright but told the king he would want to fight the giant with his own skills and armories.

e. HE WAS AN EXPERT
David was an expert in using the catapult. It took the catapult to kill the giant whiles the guns and the javelins could not kill the giant. Whatever field you find yourself, you have to be expert in that field.
